Focus and Scope

The Alexandria Dental Journal is an international journal offering the highest level of published data pertaining to the field of dental and craniofacial science and research. It is the official publication of the Faculty of dentistry, Alexandria University. The journal has been available for many years but has recently been re-launched as an electronic journal with an online submission system to facilitate efficient and speedy publication of manuscripts.

The aim of the journal is to provide a portal of entry to both basic and clinical research in the field of dentistry and to shed light through a broad base of readers on the most advanced aspects of the field. By targeting basic researchers as well as clinicians both in the academic field and in the private sector; the journal intends to raise the standard of healthcare given to the patients and improve the quality of research.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

The Alexandria Dental Journal was established in 1976 as the official journal of the Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University. The journal had an impact in progressing the field of dental scientific research in Egypt and the Middle East. The journal functioned as a global portal for scientists and researchers.

Previous issues from 1976-2010 are available in hard copy form at the Alexandria University Library.
